PHILIP M. SCHWARTZ earned his Bachelor of Science in Business (Finance) from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Bloomington in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University in 1989.
Mr. Schwartz heads the firm's employment law practice and participates in its corporate and litigation practices.
Mr. Schwartz regularly counsels businesses on a wide variety of employment and general business matters. In addition to providing preventive counseling and employee training in the employment law field, Mr. Schwartz has represented businesses in discrimination claims, union issues, wrongful termination claims, wage-hour investigations and claims, the drafting and enforcement of employment agreements, including non-compete agreements and employment tax matters. Mr. Schwartz also represents businesses in general business matters including mergers and acquisitions and debt financing matters.
Mr. Schwartz is admitted to the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland State Bar.
